Galaxy, Zotac Equip GeForce GTX 275 with Accelero Extreme

With the launch of the GeForce GTX 275, NVIDIA's latest 55nm GT200-based graphics accelerator, the Sunnyvale, California-based graphics chip maker has certainly put its partners to work. Companies such as EVGA, BFG, ASUS, Zotac, Galaxy and many more will try to convince you that their version of the new card is the one you'll need for your graphics card upgrade. This is why we are going to see a number of non-reference custom GTX 275 cards being released in the near future. These new cards will be equipped with custom cooling solutions and provide users with a higher performance level over reference models.

 

That is the case of Zotac and Galaxy, two graphics card makers that have just announced their latest additions to the GeForce card lineup. Both companies have already rolled out their non-reference GTX 275 models, with Zotac pushing the clock speeds to 702MHz, while Galaxy has decided to equip its new GTX 275 with a triple-fan cooling solution from Artic Cooling, dubbed Accelero Extreme. Both cards are featured with factory-overclocked GPUs, but only the Galaxy one comes with a custom cooling solution.

 

However, according to a recently leaked photo, Zotac is also preparing its own Accelero Extreme-equipped version of the GTX 275, which will likely provide users with an even higher performance boost, compared to reference designs. According to details made available in a recent article on expreview, Zotac is preparing another non-reference GTX 275, which will be equipped with the aforementioned Artic Cooling solution and reference clock speeds of 633MHz, 1404MHz and 2248MHz for the GPU, shaders and memory, respectively. The Galaxy card boasts a GPU/Shader/Memory speed of 650MHz, 1475MHz and 2400MHz respectively.

 

As you have probably already found out, the latest 55nm GT200-based GeForce GTX 275 graphics card is capable of delivering an impressive performance for its value. The card was designed to compete with AMD's latest Radeon HD 4890 video card.
