Leaked: Four New Handsets Heading for Verizon

They should be nice additions to the carrier's lineup

Leaked handsets to come to Verizon
According to the latest news on the Web, mobile phone operator Verizon Wireless is preparing to release a few nice handsets in the following months, four of which are expected to be HTC Touch Diamond, LG 9600 Versa, Nokia 7205 Intrigue and BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, as shown in a recently leaked promo flyer that surfaced on Engadget.

HTC Touch Diamond can be seen as an HTC Touch Pro without the keyboard. As many of you might already know, the Touch Pro has been with Verizon since November last year. The new handset is a slim phone powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform, and it does not include a hardware QWERTY keyboard, which should appeal to users in search of a rather stylish smartphone. According to the news, the HTC Touch Diamond is expected to come to the market in March, yet no info on a possible price is available at the moment.

The second device in line would be the LG 9600 Versa, which should feature a rather unusual, modular design based on detachable accessories. The handset is reported to come around with a variety of clip-on accessories. Basically, users will only carry around a relatively small phone, yet they are also enabled to transform it into a larger and more capable device to perform specialized tasks. The new LG 9600 Versa, also known as VX9600, should come to the market in March as well.

The Nokia 7205 Intrigue brings around a cross-shaped directional pad and is expected to come to the market as a stylish mid-end clamshell. The handset should include support for EVDO, Bluetooth connectivity, a vertical external display, a 2-megapixel camera, along with 180MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage capabilities. No details on the price or availability of the handset are available.

The last device on the flyer, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230, is the CDMA version of Flip 8220, and is expected to come with a nice range of features similar to those of the GSM variant. Among the specs of the handset we should see Wi-Fi support, EDGE data and a 2-megapixel camera. Details on availability or price haven't been unveiled here either.
