Porsche Design Mobile Group has just announced their first mobile phone model at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen. We are actually talking about a Sagem mobile phone that is the result of a collaboration between the two companies.
Sagem Communication and Porsche Design Group have signed a license agreement one year ago in order to both contribute in developing a new product. Thus came the P'9521 phone model, with a design that elegantly blends together high quality aluminum and mineral glass in order to provide a stylish and appealing look. The smooth and simple lines highly contribute to providing an elegant look for this device.
The design of this mobile phone should indeed manage to present an impressive appearance, considering the fact that this is the sole purpose that the two companies have decided to partner.
Porsche P'9521 can also be used as a digital camera, only with a 180 degree flip of the display screen. The 3.2 megapixel camera is capable of high performances, as it also comes with auto-focus, flash, digital and video zoom, as well as video capture and displaying.
The touch sensitive 2.2 inch screen is capable of a resolution of up to 320 x 240 pixels. Moreover, it follows the trend set by the latest high performance mobile phones, that of introducing a touch screen in order to improve interaction between the mobile phone and user.
Porsche P'9521 phone model is also capable of supporting MP3 sound formats. When it comes to Internet capabilities, this handset uses EDGE technology in order to provide high-speed internet access.
Sagem tried to provide the best technological features for developing this mobile phone and left the design part up to Porsche Design company. An estimate price and a release date for Porsche P'952 have not been specified.
