It's no secret that players of MMO gaming titles are taking their gaming very seriously, having to control a number of functions and features of their preferred character. This is why hard-core gamers, who spend a lot of time in front of the computer system, invest in gaming-ready gear such as high-performance components and peripherals. On that note, Razer, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-end gaming and lifestyle peripherals, has just announced the introduction of its new Razer Naga gaming mouse, a device specifically designed to meet the requirements of MMO players. In addition, the company also announced the introduction of the new Razer Megasoma, a hybrid gaming mouse mat.

“Gaming interfaces have been growing but there’s a gap in providing gamers a true experience of control in the virtual world,” said Robert “Razerguy” Krakoff, president, Razer. “Razer’s engineering team addresses this issue with the Razer Naga, designed to be unique and innovative by offering MMO players more customization and balance in-game. The Razer Megasoma provides support in utilizing the most efficient gaming environment; it’s a hybrid gaming mouse mat catering to both hard and soft mat users with its optimal tracking performance.”

Among the features that have been enabled on Razer's new MMO gaming mouse, we need to highlight the 5600 dpi precision 3.5G laser sensor, 200 inches per second tracking speed, the 1ms response time, and obviously the 17 MMO-optimized buttons, which basically make up for the mouse's main feature. The mouse can be combined with optional MMO-specific software AddOns and is said to be available worldwide for US$79.99 (€79.99 in Europe).

According to Razer, the new Megasoma gaming mat has been designed as a hybrid solution that combines features from a typical hard and soft mat into a single product, meant to provide users with the best gaming experience possible. The Megasoma is also available worldwide for US$49.99 (€49.99 in Europe).
