One of the easiest ways to turn your smartphone into a useful torch that will help you find your way in dark areas is called NiceLight. Developed by VerySoft, the small application is fully compatible with most of the Symbian devices out there and only requires 1mb of ROM to install and up to 300 kb of RAM to operate.
Turning your smartphone into a professional torch will provide you with more features such as backlight manager, battery control, color selection and charger tracker. NiceLight has a very easy-to-use interface, with a logical structure, which doesn't require more than 2-3 minutes to get used to it.
After the installation of the software, you will be able to access some of the main options of the application, which will make it work just the way you want. The autostart feature can be set on/off, in case you want it to start automatically every time you open your phone.
Also, users will be able to choose one of the three available torch modes of the application: camera flash, display light, or all modes. Every time you choose one of the above mentioned modes, a specific icon will be displayed on your screen, so you will know what mode you use as long as it's started. Other basic features of NiceLight include a night clock with skinnable interface, a battery discharge built-in control, backlight manager and power charger tracker.
The NiceLight interface supports multiple languages, which are distributed through separate packages. The original application is available in two languages: English and Russian. The trial version of NiceLight makes the application available only for seven days, with some limitations: selected style in Night clock mode will not be saved after NiceLight’s Automatic keyboard locker is not functional. After the trial period, you will have to register the application by purchasing the license. A NiceLight license can be bought for $9.
