Exactly when did the first Famicom Disk System original game make its first entry...?To get straight to the point, this week's Virtual Console update brings Wii gamers one title originally released for the Famicom Disk System, one SNES puzzler and one action-adventure title first released o the Turbografx. Read on to see what each and every one of them is all about in order to make up your mind whether to spend some Wii Points today, or not. By the way, I've never heard of Famicom Disk System titles making an entry in the VC world, did you?
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels - it was originally only available for the Famicom Disk System in Japan and expands on the original with all-new level designs, trickier enemies and obstacles and secret worlds to explore. For the Mario purist this is the ultimate gaming treat, but make sure you hurry; this title will be a collector's item and will only be available for download until the last day of the event on 30th September (all other Hanabi Festival titles will remain available after the event). Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is available now for 600 Wii Points.
Mario's Super Picross (the 1995 SNES puzzle title) - This classic picture crossword game, previously available only in Japan, features hundreds of challenging yet relaxing puzzles. Each puzzle features a grid of tiles that reveal a picture when filled correctly. Like Picross DS, Mario's Super Picross includes a save function allowing players to return to puzzles later and a selection of changeable background melodies. Mario's Super Picross is available now for 900 Wii Points.
Last, but not least is the Turbografx action-adventure classic, Neutopia II, which, although released in the States as early as Monday, it's just becoming available for the European market today. The game's description in short...: In the first Neutopia title (also available on Virtual Console) the heroic Jazeta destroyed Dirth the emperor of darkness. Many years later, the shadow of darkness is spreading across the land and Jazeta must once again take up his arms to save his father and defeat Dirth once again. Neutopia II is available now for 600 Wii Points.
Of course, there are more than 130 titles already available up on VC so go ahead and see what else you could be interested in, as these three are just the latest of additions. Still, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels for Just 600 Wii Points isn't something to say "pass" to.
